90-minute group peer supervision
Low cost ($25/session)
Virtual sessions

The Queer Therapists Group hosted by Connect to Calm is a virtual, low-cost, monthly, 90-minute group for 2SLGBTQ+ clinicians of all types (psychotherapists, social workers, counsellors).
We welcome therapists of all levels of experience, all modalities, & from all areas of practice. Whether you work with couples or individuals or families; work in private practice, group practice, community mental health agencies/organizations; you are welcome to be a part of our inclusive and welcoming space.
Clinicians are asked to attend a Meet & Greet consult ahead of joining the group to assess for fit. Participants are asked to participate regularly (max 8 per session). Group members sign a confidentiality waiver to ensure they do not share information discussed within the group.
The general agenda for each 90-minute group peer supervision session includes:
- Sharing news about training opportunities for therapists, counsellors, social workers, etc.
- Sharing summaries/reviews of trainings attended.
- Sharing recommendations on articles, books, and other resources for clinicians.
- Discussions about the models we use (e.g., Emotionally Focused Therapy, ACT, DBT).
- Sharing new resources for client care (e.g. handouts, worksheets, books, etc.).
- Consulting on general topics related to clinical practice (e.g., how do you manage triangulation? what questions are most helpful to ask at Intake?).
- Consulting on practice topics, especially those related to running the business administrative piece of a private practice (e.g., how do you schedule your week? how do you decide whether to charge fees for no-shows?).
